Votes at 16 was back in the headlines this week, featuring UKYP and British Youth Council campaigners, with it looking likely that 16 and 17 year olds will get the opportunity to vote in the Scottish referendum for independence.
Rhammel Affleck (British Youth Council Campaigner and spokesperson, former MYP for Kingston and current Procedures Group representative for London) appeared on the BBC’s Daily Politics show to talk about lowering the voting age. Watch Rhammel’s appearance here. Oldham MYP Ebony James appeared on BBC Breakfast on Friday, and Joe Williams, MYP for Salford, is due to appear on BBC Newsround at 5pm this evening.
