Act by Right is an accreditation award written by The National Youth Agency, that young people can gain for their active involvement work.
It has five units that support young people through a process of affecting change and evaluating that change. Each stage involves young people collecting evidence for their work and developing a portfolio that shows how they have met the aims of each unit. Young people learn through a process of reflection and evaluate their efforts against the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child (1990).
UKYP has been working with the NYA to produce a UKYP-specific version of the Act By Right guidance. This is to make it easier for young people and youth workers to accredit the work they do in relation to UKYP, rewarding local, regional and national MYP and Deputy MYP activity with an accredited outcome.
