UK Parliament - www.parliament.uk - Official UK Parliament website - contains everything you need to know about the world of Westminster!

Direct Gov - www.direct.gov.uk/en/YoungPeople/index.htm - Website especially for young people with sections on health and relationships, money, crime and justice, learning, leisure and politics.


Are You Ok? - www.are-you-ok.org.uk - Victim Support website for children and young people to help them address their concerns about crime and anti social behaviour. The site has interactive games and gives advice about being a witness to, or victim of crime.

British Youth Council - www.byc.org.uk - BYC represents and involves a unique coalition of young people through their involvement as individuals or through their youth organisations. 

Catch 21 - www.catch21.co.uk - The aim of Catch 21 is to kick-start a revolution of participation in British politics by changing the way it is perceived by the public. Catch21 seeks to achieve this by putting on debates and shows all over the UK, which will attract young people - those who are seen as the least likely to be interested in the traditional style of politics - by including well-known public faces.

ChildLine - www.childline.org.uk - ChildLine is the free helpline for children and young people in the UK. Children and young people can call ChildLine on 0800 1111 to talk about any problem.

Envision - www.envision.org.uk - Envision is a youth empowerment charity that enables young people to realise their capacity to make a difference. Envision works in schools and colleges across the UK, and helps 16-19 year olds develop their own social and environmental projects. With the support of adult volunteers, young people develop the skills, awareness, confidence and motivation necessary to bring about positive change in their communities.  

Headliners - www.headliners.org - Headliners is a UK-wide news agency producing news, features and comment by young people for everyone. Through a unique learning through journalism programme, young people aged 8 to 19 research and write stories on issues that are important to them for publication in national and local newspapers, magazines, television and radio."

Kikass - www.kikass.tv - Kikass is a charity that brings together young people across the UK to champion career and personal development, while channeling raw talent into finding creative solutions to social issues and building active communities among 16-26 year olds.

National Children's Bureau - www.ncb.org.uk - NCB promotes the voices, interests and well-being of all children and young people across every aspect of their lives. As an umbrella body for the children’s sector in England and Northern Ireland, NCB provide essential information on policy, research and best practice for all partner organisations.

National Council for Voluntary Youth Services - www.ncvys.org.uk - NCVYS is the independent voice of the voluntary youth sector in England. A diverse network of over 160 national voluntary youth organisations and regional and local youth networks, NCVYS has been working since 1936 to support voluntary and community organisations that work with young people.

National Youth Agency - www.nya.org.uk - The National Youth Agency supports those involved in young people's personal and social development and works to enable all young people to fulfil their potential within a just society.

NSPCC - www.nspcc.org.uk - The NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) is the UK's leading charity specialising in child protection and the prevention of cruelty to children.

Oxfam - www.oxfam.org.uk - Oxfam is a development, relief, and campaigning organisation that works with others to find lasting solutions to poverty and suffering around the world.

Participation Works - www.participationworks.org.uk - Participation Works is an online gateway for youth participation. This is your hub for information, resources, news and networking on the involvement of young people in dialogue, decision making and influence across a wide range of settings. Participation works is funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

Prince's Trust - www.princes-trust.org.uk - The Prince's Trust is a UK charity that helps young people overcome barriers and get their lives working. Through practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance, they help 14-30 year olds realise their potential and transform their lives.

Queer Youth Alliance - www.queeryouth.org.uk - The Queer Youth Alliance is a national non-profit making organisation that is run by and for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT)Young People. It has an aim to represent the needs and views of LGBT Young People through campaigning for greater visibility and equal rights, as well as providing general support and information to those who are just 'coming out' or who are suffering the effects of homophobia.

RESET - www.reset.uk.net - RESET is a diverse project with over 50 partners that aims to improve the resettlement process for young offenders.

Save the Children - www.savethechildren.org.uk - Save the Children fights for children in the UK and around the world who suffer from poverty, disease, injustice and violence.

Shadow CS - www.shadowcs.co.uk - Shadow CS is a fun, interactive website aimed at young people aged 11 – 16+ all about crime. It allows young people to get involved in discussions about crime and the everyday things that affect them and gives them the option of seeking advice if they don’t know what to do.

Talented Young People - www.talentedyoungpeople.com - The Talented Young People organisation was founded by Adam Sibley in 2006. The organisation formed www.talentedyoungpeople.com as a free interactive resource tool for young people aged between 13 and 24 years who have dreams to fulfil but need a helping hand on the way.

TeenIssues.co.uk - www.teenissues.co.uk - TeenIssues.co.uk was formed in late 2005 to offer a unique reference point on what teenagers want to know. Being a teenager can be a troublesome time. This site offers great advice on some of the perils and issues and how to overcome them.

The Children's Society - www.childrenssociety.org.uk The Children's Society is a leading children's charity and campaigns to make childhood better for all children in the UK. It has a particular focus on the most vulnerable children who can't get the help they need from anywhere else and its work with thousands of children on a daily basis gives it a strong platform from which to lobby for positive change. 

The Hideout - www.thehideout.org.uk - The Hideout is the first national website to support children and young people living with domestic violence, or to those who may want to help a friend. The site informs children and young people about domestic violence and helps them identify whether it is happening in their home.

TheSite.org - www.thesite.org - TheSite.org aims to be the first place all young adults turn to when they need support and guidance through life. We believe all young people have the capacity to make their own decisions and life choices, provided they have access to high quality, impartial information and advice.

UNICEF Youth Voice - www.unicef.org.uk/youthvoice - UNICEF UK Youth Voice is a network of young people in the UK, aged 11-18, who are committed to children’s rights. By fundraising, campaigning, and telling it like it is, you can speak up for the world’s children, adding your voice to theirs.

YMCA - www.ymca.org.uk - The YMCA is a leading Christian charity committed to supporting all young people, particularly in times of need.

Young NCB - www.youngncb.org.uk Young NCB is the free membership network for all children and young people run by the National Children's Bureau.

YouthNet - www.youthnet.org - YouthNet is the UK's first exclusively online charity. We guide and support young people, enabling them to make educated life choices, participate in society and achieve their ambitions.

YP Mania - www.ypmania.com - YPMania is an interactive, community based portal for young people around the globe. YPMania has been developed to enable young people from the ages of 10-20 to interactive with each other, learn about the world of media, get up to date news in a way that we understand and to develop a safe community.

Global Links - www.globallinks.org.uk - Global links is ActionAid's interactive global citizenship site for schools. It explores life around the world and encourages users to ask questions, share ideas, vote on issues and take action. It is for seven to 14 year-olds, and their teachers to use in geography, citizenship & PSHE lessons.

They Work For You - www.theyworkforyou.com - Non-partisan, volunteer-run website which aims to make it easy for people to keep tabs on their elected and unelected representatives in Parliament.
