What’s it all about?

Between 20-28 April, young people aged 11-18 across the UK voted to help decide three massive youth campaigns.

How does it work?

The first round of voting was open to any young person aged 11-18 in the UK. After the first round of voting the top six campaigns were:

1. Abolish university tuition fees

2. National transport concession card for all young people in full time education

3. Incorporate political education into the secondary education curriculum

4. Improve the image of young people through the media and other community projects

5. Provide better and more mental health and emotional well being services for all young people

6. Lower the voting age to 16

These campaigns were then debated and voted on by Members of the Youth Parliament (MYPs). Here are the campaigns MYPs voted for:

1. National transport concession card for all young people in full time education

2. Abolish university tuition fees

3. Incorporate political education into the secondary education curriculum
