About the campaign

Our national campaign for England in 2016 – Mental health services should be improved

Mental health services should be improved with our help, according to the UK Youth Parliament, which has chosen mental health as the UK Youth Parliament’s priority campaign for England in 2015.

Mental health became the priority campaign after securing 176 votes during the UK Youth Parliament’s House of Commons Sitting in November 2015. A total of 272 Members of Youth Parliament aged 11-18 took part in the debates, the subjects for which were voted for by over 969,992 young people across the UK. This follows a year of campaigning on mental health in 2015, chosen during the UK Youth Parliament’s Sitting in Autumn of 2014.
