MWH is one of the world’s leading environmental and engineering companies specialising in water and managing the impacts of climate change. MWH is sponsoring the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) for the next three years because it believes its work addresses many issues key to industry and the future of the UK.
UKYP introduces young people to politics and shows them how they can make a difference. Its members are influencing decisions being taken today and tomorrow by government and other opinion formers around critical issues such as climate change initiatives, skills shortages and funding for further education.
This mirrors MWH’s own goal of - ‘Building a better world’. The company’s 7,000 employees support their local communities and help clients worldwide to design and implement sustainable solutions to meet the challenges created by our growing needs for water, waste and environmental planning. MWH supports the UKYP as part of this vision and hopes to encourage some young people to consider science and engineering careers given these disciplines hold the key to tackling climate change.
MWH is a private, employee-owned firm with approximately 7,000 employees worldwide. The company provides water, wastewater, energy, natural resource, program management, consulting and construction services to industrial, municipal, utility and government clients in Europe, the Americas, Middle East, India, Asia and the Pacific Rim.
