Which political issues are you most passionate about?

The political issues I'm most passionate about are the ones that really effect young people, for example, the usage of drugs and alcohol. I also feel that young people aren't being made aware of the amount of sexually transmitted diseases that there are. I think that young people are the real victims when it comes to crime and believe it is time to find interesting activities for young people to do on a Friday and Saturday night which doesn't involve them standing on the streets getting cold.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

The biggest issue for young people in my constituency is transport; there isn't enough for young people who live in rural areas. Another big issue is the leisure facilities for young people, how expensive they are and the way the young people are perceived in the media and treated by the police.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

I hope to achieve a better perception of young people throughout the United Kingdom, for them to be taken seriously and have their voices heard.

What is your future career ambition?

At the moment I am studying, AS Politics, Performance Studies, Philosophy and English Literature at college but I don't have set in my mind as yet what I'd like to do for my future career but I will hopefully be deciding within the next few months.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

I most admire Claire Short. After studying AS Politics I have found that she was one of the only honest ministers and stood up to what she believed in, for example going against Tony Blair with the Iraq war.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

If I could send a message to the government now I would say that I am pleased they have put a ban on smoking in public places from next summer and I would like them to consider what they are going to do for young people in terms of occupying them so they don't get involved in crime.

Additional comments:

I hope to get myself known as MYP among my constituency so I can fulfil my duty in getting the Young people of Colchester's voices heard throughout the United Kingdom.
