Name: Rosie
Birch
Status:
Deputy MYP
Constituency:
Wirral
--------------------------------------------------------
Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
Conserving the environment, making
sure discrimination everywhere is abolished, NHS issues and health
in general, and making sure everyone's voice is heard.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
The lack of motivation and things
do to. The majority of people fail to see how they could use their
talents to help themselves. Prejudice is also quite bad in my area.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I want to get the whole community
involved in something, competitions and projects, and to represent
them as best I can, and as much as I can.
What is your future career ambition?
Well, my ideal career would be to
be a rock-star, but I don't think that's very likely! My "proper"
career ambitions are journalism, writing, script-writing or maybe
illustration.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
That they really should take young
peoples views into account because our opinions do matter, and that
the UK Youth Parliament is a great way to access young people's
views.
