Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
I am most passionate about law and
society and bullying because there is so much to be done in law
and society, it's such a wide topic. And bullying because I believe
every one of us have been bullied at some point, just some worse
than others. There are such extreme things happening because of
bullying, it's something endless with no answer, however we keep
searching for one.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
I believe that the biggest issue for
young people in my area is money, health and anti-social behaviour
because that's what they tell me. Southampton is over populated
with secondary schools and there are so many gangs for each estate,
and therefore the issues that they want sorted are what you might
call "typical" teenager issues.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
In my term of office I hope to make
a big mark, so the young people remember me even if it is only for
one thing. I also hope to leave a big mark for Southampton city
youth parliament, so everyone knows them and what we do.
What is your future career ambition?
Right now I am not sure. There are
so many things I could do, and am currently looking at many jobs
to find the right one for me.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King,
they stood up for what is right no matter what was going to happen,
and stood up for rights of the people. Who better?
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
Watch out! Because the youth of today
are starting to realise that they're important too, and as a result
rightfully want to be listened too. The government have never really
listened before, and the youth of today and tomorrow are only going
to get stronger.
