-------------------------------------------------------- Which political issues are you most passionate about? Talking to people. I don't think the majority of politicians have enough contact with the 'real world' and this stops them from knowing the everyday issues that affect the majority of the population. What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency? Public transport. Wiltshire is a really rural county and public transport, is therefore crucial for getting around, (especially buses). Prices are far too high and in many cases, links between towns and villages don't exist. What do you hope to achieve during your term of office? I'd love to make all youth centres in Wiltshire stock fair trade products. I just want to come away able to pinpoint one thing that I know I've done. What is your future career ambition? Something in Local Government, I'm not sure yet. In many respects, local government has more impact on the lives of the general public and that's where my priorities lie. Which public figure do you most admire and why? I don't really have a particular person in mind, but in my opinion anyone who is prepared to speak up for what they believe is right and not just say what they're expected to, should be admired. If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be? Since OAPs and teenagers are in the same situation in regards to transport, (can't drive, have very little income,) why is it that OAPs have free bus passes and teenagers don't even get a reduced rate? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- East
