--------------------------------------------------------
Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
I feel really strongly about the way
young people are perceived. Some older people seem to talk down
to us and say bad things without bothering to do anything about
it or getting to know or helping us.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
Two big issues for young people in
my constituency is places to go and means to get there (public transport).
It's all well and good having youth organisations being set up but
as my region is mostly rural it is often difficult to get there.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I hope to make things better for young
people, help them to have their say on things they feel strongly
about and become an access point for their ideas. I would also like
to make young people aware of their rights.
What is your future career ambition?
In the future I would like to go into
politics. From what I've learnt so far it's all very interesting
and great to have the power of influence. Although I would like
to peruse an alternative career before entering politics perhaps
something in fashion or design.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
The message I would send to the government
is that young people have views as well. We should be listened to
and involved in decisions which are made.
