Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
Firstly, I am passionate about the
identity cards because countless times I have been ridiculed or
made to pay full price on buses and trains etc. as I look older
than I am. I think it's unfair and I have tried getting hold of
an identity card but found this very difficult. Secondly, I disagree
with the fees for university. I understand why it has to be so expensive,
but surely the government should do something about it? And with
the loans, would you like to be starting life off with a massive
debt on your shoulders?
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
I feel that the biggest issue in my
constituency is bullying. I think this because in a lot of schools
bullying is a very big issue, and not much is being done to resolve
it.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
In my term of office I hope to keep
everyone I represent aware of up-to-date issues that may concern
them and also use my position to voice any concerns they may have.
I also hope to make more people aware of and promote children's
rights.
What is your future career ambition?
My future career ambition is to become
a solicitor or something involving law. I am highly interested in
law, and also English, so I'd also like to be an English teacher.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
My message to the government would
be to abolish tuition fees. On one hand I do understand why they
need tuition fees but I also feel they should try and find another
way, because I would guess that there are a lot of really intelligent
people out there that either simply can not go to university because
of the price or are put off by it. I personally want to go to university,
but do find the huge debt I'll face at the end of it very off-putting.
