Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
I am most passionate about issues concerning developing countries, namely fair trade and stop the traffic. I'm concerned about people living below the poverty line around the world, orphans of illness and disease, and slave labour.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
I think the biggest issue for young people in my constituency is not feeling valued by the adult members of the community. More communication needs to occur, and connections made.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I hope to achieve all I can during my term in office. I wish to be available to people my age for them to voice their concerns and ideas, so I can represent them to the best of my ability. Some of my priorities are promoting charities such as Action Aid in schools, and also better Sex and Relationship education for young people.
What is your future career ambition?
My future career ambitions involve training in the area of law, perhaps to become a barrister. I wish to maintain my links with the political world throughout this career, by continuing to lobby the government and getting involved in campaigns. I then wish to take up a job within government, perhaps becoming an MP.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
The public figure which I most admire is Nelson Mandela. His determination and motivation to lead South Africa out of apartheid is inspiring.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
We need to reassess our priorities concerning the developing world verses our economy. Money has a value, people are priceless.
