Which political issues are you most passionate about?

I feel most concerned with what is happening to the extreme poverty in the world, the environment and the health service. So I guess if I had to have a passion to campaign for something it would be those three issues.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

Different things affect every young person, so every young person has a big issue that they'd like to change. Personally in South Beds I think the cost of public transport is extortionate, and I feel there is a distinct lack of places for young people to go and have a good time.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

I'm sure everyone says it yet it never happens but: I'd like to make a difference. I’d just like people to think I've actually done something seeing as they went to the trouble of voting for me.

What is your future career ambition?

I don't have one. Whatever I end up doing I'd just like to have a good time.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

I feel more inspired when I see someone with my own eyes making a difference. I think it's better to admire someone in your private life rather than in the public eye. There are two teachers I've had who I really do admire. Having said that, I think Al Gore is doing pretty well with climate change, so I'd say he's a good bloke.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

One billion people in the world don't have access to safe drinking water.
Sort it out.
