Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
The issues that I'm most passionate
about are juvenile crime and wrongly accused youths. I am most passionate
about this because I am one of the youths that hang around on the
street and I have seen many of my friends get arrested for things
they haven't done.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
I feel the biggest issue in my area
is that young people have nowhere to go in their town and so they
are hanging round on the streets and getting a bad reputation.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I hope to achieve a drop in the percentage
of juvenile crime in my constituency so that I can say that I have
achieved my main aim.
What is your future career ambition?
In the future I wish to be a Royal
Engineer in the army and then when I have done my service I want
to be a full time youth worker.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
The public figure I look up to is
my very own youth worker Faye Edwards because she is a top quality
youth worker and she says what she feels. She is not afraid to hide
her emotions.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
Stop police moving young people on
if you're not going to provide them with somewhere else to go! The
police could be dealing with other bigger issues than youths on
the streets. This something I feel very strongly about and something
needs to done about it.
Additional comments:
In my area we have a youth action
group that I am chair of. We are trying to raise money for youth
shelters for my constituency. I would be more than happy if the
government would provide me with a donation towards my final goal
of £20,000.
