Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
I am most passionate about having things for young people to do and also that young people have the chance to express their ideas, and not feel as if their view stands for nothing. I think that the fact we are ranked bottom out of 21 countries for children's well-being in a UNICEF report suggests something has gone wrong somewhere.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
I feel that having things to do is a big issue, and also the growing problem of ethnic groups feeling as if they are picked on by the police. There is just a growing feeling of hostility which is what I have heard when talking to people at youth conferences. I think having things to do brings people together from any walk of life.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I just hope to be able to help make change in a good way and help the whole thing move upwards and onwards and increase how much young people feel there views are valued.
What is your future career ambition?
Beyond footballer, rock star or movie star I don’t completely know to be honest! I’m just trying out as many things as I can to help try figure out what I want to do. I want a job which makes a difference - maybe politics could be the way to go.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
As much as I love McDonalds, KFC and numerous other unhealthy foods I respect Jamie Oliver in that he believed in something, he got people talking about it and fought to achieve his aim; I respect that. I may not like all the food but he’s trying to help and he’s doing something. He has also set up restaurants which help give ex addicts and criminals the chance to change there lives. Apart from him, I also admire my parents who I owe a lot and have been great.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
Don’t forget about all the little people. The country may be becoming richer but it is starting to be focussed too much on statistics and not meanings and feelings. Put more money into care and young people.
Additional comments:
Thank you to everyone who voted for me to have this chance and I will do my best to make sure I take it with both hands and get things done for you. I am a chilled back person and a good listener but when it comes to something that needs doing, I will get it done and I love a good debate.
