Which political issues are you most passionate about?

I am very passionate about reducing crime in London and across the country, particularly crime involving guns and knives. Also, I feel very passionate about university tuition fees. I feel that they should be either reduced or abolished as many young people are being put off from going to university as they fear the almost-certain debt involved at the end of their course. As a result, in the future there may be a shortage of important public sector workers, including doctors.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

I feel that the biggest issue for young people in my constituency is crime, particularly violent crime involving weapons.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

During my term of office, I hope to listen and act upon the views of my constituents. I also hope to achieve improvements in my area, for London, the UK, and UKYP, by meeting various public figures and important people in different communities.

What is your future career ambition?

My future career ambition is to have a job involving science, probably teaching. As well as this, I would like to be involved in politics and persue a political career.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

The public figure that I admire most is Margaret Thatcher. This is due to the improvements she achieved during her term of office as Prime Minister, through her determination to follow through her policies.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

One message I would like to send to the government would be to take the views of young people seriously because decisions made now will affect us as the next generation.

Additional comments:

I would like to say that the UK Youth Parliament provides a voice for young people from across the United Kingdom. Although, these young people's views need to be heard and taken into consideration, and the government and other important public figures in society need to take them seriously.
