Name: Dan Kent
Status:
Deputy MYP
Constituency: Sutton
--------------------------------------------------------
Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
The troops in Iraq. I feel this is an important issue as Britain has still got troops in Iraq when they should have been withdrawn months ago.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
I feel that young people have a variety of activities that they can do but they are either too expensive or not publicised enough.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I would like to achieve a bigger status and voice for the young people of Sutton and make them more known within the region and better still, the UK.
What is your future career ambition?
My ambition is to work as a member of Sutton’s council or to work with the murder investigation team. Both of these jobs would be cool because I love helping people and working with them to solve their difficulties.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
The entire police force as they are sometimes put down or underestimated within the borough. They persist and for a very small reward for what they do.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
One message to the government would be to involve young people more and get us involved in bigger debatable issues.
Additional comments:
I look forward to my year as DMYP and hope that me and the MYP can represent the young people of Sutton as well as the previous MYP.
