Which political issues are you most passionate about?

I feel that the most important issue in our society is personal safety. I believe that there is not enough being done in the country to prevent crimes from happening, and many people, especially the elderly and the very young, feel threatened to be out at night on their own. They should not have to feel this way.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

In my constituency, which is Merseyside, I think that one of the biggest problems that many youngsters across my area experience is bullying. I don't think that enough is being done in schools to punish the bullies, and to prevent it happening in the first instance. It is a very important issue that really needs to be addressed soon.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

During my term of office, I hope to try and help as many youngsters across Merseyside as possible, and try and come up with some solutions to an issue which I feel is extremely important - bullying.

What is your future career ambition?

My future career ambition is to become a journalist, as I enjoy public speaking, writing and travelling. I am also very interested in politics, especially Middle Eastern politics.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

The public figure I most admire is Martin Luther King, because of the amazing things he managed to achieve in his lifetime which was cut short. The issues he dealt with are ones that I feel very strongly about. His selfless actions are renowned throughout the world. Martin Luther King believed in a peaceful approach to protesting and liked to base himself on the peaceful Indian protestor Gandhi. One of his most famous attempts of gaining public support was his ‘I Have a Dream’ speech which was renown across the world for its idea of all people being born equal. Martin Luther King’s work has inspired millions across the world which is one of the reasons I greatly admire him. His love of God and approach to life has enabled millions of people to put aside their prejudices and see beyond the colour of people’s skin and their religion.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

Listen to the voices of your country. Every single person in this country is capable of something great. If you listen to them, then you too could make this country something to be proud of.
