Status: MYP
Constituency: Milton Keynes

Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
I feel very strongly about civil liberties and the environment. I also think ID cards are a dangerous and wasteful mistake and that the government should have less control over us; we should have greater freedom to choose what we want to do with our lives without the government interfering.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
Public transport, in particular buses. They are too expensive and too unreliable for young people in Milton Keynes. This is something I am campaigning to change along with my local MP who is campaigning for the same changes.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I hope to build closer links between the council and young people in Milton Keynes and carry on the work of my predecessor in working on a new leaflet explaining how local young people can save money on public transport and to get somewhere in campaigning for free bus travel for under 18’s in full-time education.
What is your future career ambition?
I am unsure currently but I want to either start my own business or become a journalist.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
I admire Brian Haw for his 6 year long protest against the Iraq war and our foreign policy and also for standing up to the government at its every attempt to silence his right to free speech.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
End our illegal occupation of Iraq. The whole war was nothing but a mess and an excuse to invade Iraq for its oil. Bush and Blair deserve to hang more than Saddam Hussein did for invading Iraq and killing tens of thousands of innocent lives alongside completely destabilising the country to the point of almost civil war.
