Which political issues are you most passionate about?

I’m all about body image, confidence and sex education. Nearly every single young person out there becomes affected by the media and it’s sad to see and hear about how much their views have been twisted.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

Buckinghamshire is quite short of clubs and groups for young people, and I don’t feel enough young people recognise their rights and hence few will speak out.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

Definitely would like to intensify the level of sexual health education in schools, I think it’s an aspect of life we tend to ignore. The truth is, the more young people are taught about it, the more quickly talking and handling sex issues will become normality - this is key. I’d like to get involved with some sort of campaign to teach people about anorexia and bulimia and provide support to anyone who needs it concerning their body confidence. I plan to look into physical education as well.

What is your future career ambition?

I have always wanted to be a doctor, actually. I will hopefully manage to make it one day, but I would like to do some charity challenges in Peru and work with Medecin Sans Frontiers, a French charity, first.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

There are probably many public figures, but one that strikes me as individual is Jaime Oliver! Not typical, I suppose, but I admire how he has taken such a hands-on approach to tackling an issue he was passionate about. He’s demonstrated pure determination and achieved a significant success at the end of all his hard work. He stood up to the government, allowing me to see they’re not as untouchable as I’d originally thought.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

Only make promises you can keep.

Additional comments:

I’m always open to ideas from any young person, so please don’t hesitate to try to get into contact!
