Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
I am most passionate about issues that involve creating opportunities and change for young people. Also I think anti-social behaviour is becoming a growing issue and needs to be sorted out at the root of the problem. I am also working with St. Basils in and out of UKYP to discuss transportation issues as well as the issues I have raised above.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
The biggest issue I feel is currently facing my constituency is discrimination and lack of a voice. Some young people don’t realise that UKYP is here to help give them a chance to be heard and I think that we need to raise awareness of the UK Youth Parliament so more young people understand and become interested in politics and local issues.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I am currently working with St. Basils to help build multi-cultural libraries which enables single parents, young people who have been affected by issues surrounding everyday life and the homeless to train to be librarians and have a future. St. Basils are also working with other organisations about transport and anti-social behaviour. So I hope to try and get this project at the first few stages at least in my term of office.
What is your future career ambition?
My future career ambition is actually to go into the performing arts and do dance, drama, musical theatre, music or interior design. As you can probably tell I haven’t made my mind up about which one yet!
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
We are the generation that wants to be heard … loud and clear!
