Constituency: Staffordshire
--------------------------------------------------------
Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
The issues that stir me the most relate to equality and fairness. For example I believe that all produce sold in the UK that is produced abroad should be fairly traded. I also believe in peace and I believe war is never right.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
I believe the funding for education throughout Staffordshire is our biggest issue. It affects every young person in the constituency in a truly negative way and damages our chances of achieving greatness.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I hope to bring about changes in educational funding and promote Fair Trade through the region. I also hope to convince school catering firms to use Fair Trade ingredients. I also want to change the media’s opinion of young people.
What is your future career ambition?
I have many ideas for my future career path but all of them involve using my passion for working for others as a mouthpiece. I will do this as either an MP or a union representative. I also hope to become a published writer.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
I admire Margaret Beckett greatly. I believe that as the only woman to ever be the leader of the Labour Party she did more for equality than Margaret Thatcher ever did as Prime Minister. I also believe her condemnation of nuclear weapons makes her the foremost ambassador of peace in the UK.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
Continue to act on behalf of all the people of the UK. Remember that politics, like justice, is blind and that difference of religion or racial background is irrelevant. All people are fundamentally the same, religion or racial background does not change that.
