-------------------------------------------------------- Which political issues are you most passionate about? I’m passionate about many political issues. Mainly, global warming. How long can we ignore the problem? Also, bullying, sexual harassment and racism in schools. Negative stereotypes are a major problem. Teenagers have been portrayed badly by the media, and how young people have given each other labels, it’s pathetic and confusing because I don’t fit into any. Young people shouldn’t have to ‘fit’ anyway. What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency? There are many problems in my constituency, just like in any other. Transport, gun and knife crime, racism, bullying, but mainly lack of facilities causing anti-social behaviour. Most young people just don’t feel safe in the area that they live in. What do you hope to achieve during your term of office? I would like all young people in my area to know who I am and know that I’m here to help and take their issues forward and try to do something about it! I would like to get to know people from other constituencies to work together to address problems and work on them. What is your future career ambition? I want to study politics and hopefully have a career in it, or I would love to teach drama. Ask me in a few years time! Which public figure do you most admire and why? Yes, I know some of you will tut, but I have to say Tony Blair. He has done a lot for childcare and unemployment etc and manages to take a lot of stick from the media. I think he’s very passionate about his job even though he’s resigning. I respect the guy! If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be? Young people really are the generation that many of the current one will rely on in the future. Not all young people are ‘bad’, some of us like to get involved!
