Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
I am definitely most passionate about the environment as what we do now will have lasting effects and not just for our children but for us as well. I also feel very strongly about public health (especially in young people) but unlike some, do not believe that healthy eating should be forced on young people and that they should have a choice.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
The biggest issues for people in my constituency, I believe, are currently lack of consultation in schools, public transport, public safety and the “yob” stereotype.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I would hope to achieve a lasting impact on the way the environment is viewed, cheaper bus fares for under 18’s and a strong consultation process within schools for students to prevent things been forced on them by the staff.
What is your future career ambition?
I have not chosen my future career as I have many interests and have tried to leave my options open, however, a political, scientific or business related career is probably the way I will go.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
I cannot say that I have really thought about this one as there is no one in the public eye that I consciously emulate or aspire to and I also believe that most politicians are very hypocritical (Algore for example).
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
Act on the environment now with serious measures and pressure other governments to do the same.
