Which political issues are you most passionate about?

I’m passionate about improving the image of young people in the media, so people recognise the great achievements that the large majority of us make.  In addition to this, currently I’m concerned about the use of mosquito devices, as I feel they victimise and discriminate against young people. The fact that they target young people alone is completely out of order, if any other minority group was victimised in this way there would be public outcry. Getting better access to public transport is also another big issue I’m passionate about, if we’re encouraged to be environmentally friendly; there should be greater access to public transport.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

Public transport and transport to school is an issue that is high on the agenda of many young people in my constituency. I’m also aware that as a whole, the young people in my constituency are also very passionate about getting fairer media representation of young people.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

I hope to push on further the issue of greater access to public transport for young people as well as improve the way people see young people in the media.

What is your future career ambition?

That’s a hard one, haven’t quite made up my mind as of yet. I’m really interested in graphics, art and physics, but something in politics is becoming higher up on my list.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

I admire anyone who is passionate about something and acts on this passion for a good cause, not stopping until they’ve achieved their aims, and not letting anyone dampen their aspirations.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

Don’t argue between yourselves just to get one over on each other, no-one cares, people just want to see change for the better. People care about the way you listen to them and act on their views...so, listen to them and act on their views. Also, keep in mind that we, the young people, are the future, and any decisions you make now will affect us.
