Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
I’m extremely passionate about the environment. We can do so much more to preserve it for future generations but people are just too narrow minded to see that! We need to make issues known so that we can do something about them.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
Public transport is one of the biggest issues; it’s unreliable and ridiculously priced! Also prices for leisure activities and the lack of local facilities is a rising problem that needs to be addressed. We need options on how and where to spend out time, with suitable prices attached; we’re not made of money!
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
First and foremost I would like to make the UK Youth Parliament more widely known as I believe it holds the key to success. I would also like to begin to tackle the complicate tasks of public transport and youth facilities so they can begin to improve.
What is your future career ambition?
Ever since I was seven years old I have said I’m going to be a Dentist in the Army so for the time being that is my goal. But you never know, my term in office might change my mind!
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
I mostly admire people who aren’t standing in the spotlight, not because they don’t deserve it, but because they don’t want it. People who will dedicate themselves to something and put their time and effort into helping others without wanting praise for it are to be admired. They are, quite simply, incredible.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
Don’t ignore young people. We’re not inferior to you in any way. We are the future generation and we know what we want and how we wish to go about achieving it. Work with us not against us, it’ll be far easier in the long run.
Additional comments:
It’s definitely going to be a busy year but I think I’m up for the challenge! I hope I don’t disappoint you! =)
