UKYP launches online terrorism survey for young people.

04.07.2008

At the Annual Sitting last year, in conjunction with the  Association of Chief Police Officers and Blackburn with Darwen Youth Forum, over 140 MYPs were consulted on their views on terrorism, radicalisation and the police response to it.

As a result of the thoughts coming from the Sitting, Project Safe Space has been set up (with the support of the Home Office and the Department for Children, Schools and Families). This project will run nine regional UK Youth Parliament conferences, providing safe spaces for young people to talk about issues surrounding terrorism should they wish to.

In order to demonstrate the national relevance of the work we are running a short survey.

If you could you take a couple of minutes to complete the survey (link below) and send out to other young people that would really help this work;

The new Project Safe Space Outreach Coordinator (Leoncha Leavy) will be starting work next week, but in the meantime if you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to get in touch.
