Four teenagers from across the country have given evidence to an influential Parliamentary Committee. The Transport Select Committee heard from Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs) as to how young people feel about the future of the aviation industry. It is the first time a House of Commons Select Committee has taken evidence in public from MYPs.
Justin Kempley, Member of Youth Parliament, 18, commented,
"It's a fantastic opportunity for us to get the perspective of young people across at the highest level. It's brilliant that the Committee thought to invite us. Aviation will be for better or worse a huge aspect of our lives in the future, and it's right that we're being consulted.
The young people giving evidence are Usman Ali, 16 years-old, from Calderdale, Harrison Carter, 16 years-old, from Sheffield, George Lindars-Hammond, 17 years-old, from Bath and Justin Kempley, 18 years-old, from Essex.
