Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
I was a member of the school council for 6 years and gained many valuable skills from this. I regularly take the lead on fundraising events and volunteer to help in loads of charity events. I feel that in the political world young people are misrepresented and their voice is not taken past a mere consultation. I feel passionate about empowering young people to feel confident in shaping services to meet the needs of young people. I feel passionate about young people having services that cater for them in all aspects such as time, staffing, activities, educational.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
I am passionate about community development for young people. I have a vision that young people should have facilities in their own area for them to stay healthy, active and safe. I want to help tackle real youth issues rather than media hyped ones.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I will be in post for 2 years and will make every effort to publicise any work I undertake. Some of the things I wish to achieve whilst I am Youth MP are to raise the profile and positive image of young people, also like to arrange a festival for all of the youth of Luton.
What is your future career ambition?
I would like my future career to be something I enjoy and be passionate about it. I am planning on going to university and doing a first class degree in law and hope to become a barrister. However lately I have been thinking and might do public administration and go in to politics. My options are still open for a few years and have time to think and decide about it.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
Stop listening to our adult representative, with misinformed voice and listen to us directly!
