Name: Joe Keir
Position: MYP
Constituency: Bedfordshire
Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
The fact that we are in such a deficit and the way to change it in terms of spending cuts and the fact we are linked in with the European Union that are dictating some of our laws. Along with allowing 16 year olds to vote.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
The biggest issue I believe in my constituency is the negative image of young people which is negative due to a lack of facilities. This could be solved by lowering transport costs and creating a youth café.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
To change that Sandy is a deprived area and lower transport costs which then allow young people to travel, to get jobs and use other town facilities that their own town cannot provide.
What is your future career ambition?
To join politics and hopefully one day become a party leader so then I could run for Prime Minister.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
Her majesty the Queen, for being the age she is now and still able to uphold many of her duties and always looking strong for the good of the country.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
I know times are going to be harsh in the next few years but once we get rid of the deficit the country will thrive once more and faith will eventually be restored in politics. United we can make this country great once more.
