-------------------------------------------------------- Which political issues are you most passionate about? Health care for adolescents- especially in the field of eating disorder awareness. I think this needs to be raised and we must also workto provide easier access to support for young people. So many young people are suffering from this terrible mental illness, however the ones who are not, know nothing about it and so cannot help. This MUST change. What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency? Travelling around at night or after dark- I think that the streets need to be made safer and more lighting provided, especially in alleyways and back streets. What do you hope to achieve during your term of office? To set up a self-help support group for people struggling with eating disorders and to allow each individual in the community to have a say. Also to improve upon our existing services to young people and to create safer streets at night by improving lighting. What is your future career ambition? I would like to become a psychologist working with young people in the field of eating disorders. However a career in politics has recently crossed my mind and so I may combine the two. Which public figure do you most admire and why? Barack Obama, I believe he has brilliant public speaking ability and luts across his views in a very sophisticated way. This aids him in his presentation and creates a ‘likeable’ character. If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be? Start recognising that young people are affected by what you splash across the media- people are self-starving and you are doing nothing about it.
