Which political issues are you most passionate about? I am a strong believer in cheaper train costs for all the public but students in general. Currently you can get certain deals to make it cheaper than an adult ticket. This needs to be dramatically reduced and this will contribute a lot more towards a ‘greener’ country. What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency? In the constituency of South Northants, the main issue is that there is not enough to do. This is an issue across the country but when I have spoken to people in my area, this always comes back time and time again. I propose to speak to MPs in my area to see what else they intend to do, and also keep in contact with youths in the area and helping to raise any other issues they have. What do you hope to achieve during your term of office? I hope to gain more attention from more people; more young people so they can vote in the next election or even run for their constituency, more MPs, councillors, etc to understand what it is and how it can benefit everyone and also getting adults to understand who we are and what we do. This will be done through media work and general events. What is your future career ambition? I will soon be applying for university, and I am looking to go into Events Management. I really enjoy travelling, whether it be in this country or across the world, so this is what I hope this career could entail. If I was to bring politics into this scene of work then that would be great. I really enjoy politics and the debates that it produces. Which public figure do you most admire and why? My most admired public figure would be Barack Obama, I personally enjoy his charisma and I find his speeches really interesting and like his personality.
