Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
Sex and relationships education (SRE). Pregnancy is the foundations of life for both parents and children and getting SRE at the right time for the development and well-being of all parties concerned is vital. Without the right education how will this generation, and the next, know anything of SRE without the right influences?
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
Alcohol. I believe education comes from experience and influences, if children are being brought up in a heavy drinking environment what are they being educated? That dangerous drinking is acceptable. And not just for this generation, but the next, and the next, and all generations which follow.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I hope to have a lot of fun and make a memorable difference to my region. One of the most talked about issues in Northumberland is transport and the incredible cost of short journeys in our area. I hope to do all within my power to help this situation.
What is your future career ambition?
I have no career plans at present. I’d like to build an attractive C.V. to keep my options open and see what the next day brings.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
Shane McGowan. I guess he’s not much for an ‘alcohol kills’ advert but everybody knows the songs, but who knows the name? He’s a legend in his own right.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
I don’t leave school until I’m 18. I can’t drive until I’m 17. I can’t drink in public until I’m 18, I can’t have sex until I’m 16. Why should I pay an adults fare of £4.00 for a 15 mile one way trip to get home when I earn a 15 year-old’s wage?
