Which political issues are you most passionate about?

The war in Iraq, is it really worth it? Tax payer’s money is wasted, but what have we done for the past 3 years. The country is almost worse off than when we started. It is now on the verge of civil war. We went in to take down Saddam, why are our troops still there?

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

The biggest issue in my constituency would have to be the lack of things for young people to do and where they can do them. The facilities are not widely available and so we as cabinet members have to work on that.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

During my term of office I hope to deal with the issue stated above. I want to make my council aware of the problem and for them to back us in what we want to achieve.

What is your future career ambition?

My future career ambition will have to be becoming the head the UN. or at least holding a high profile diplomatic job in the organisation.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

The public figure I most admire would be Condoleezza Rice because even though her government receives a lot of stick from many, she continuously manages to do her job of visiting other countries and attempting to negotiate peace. She buckles down and gets on with the job and I admire her for that.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

Listen to us as young people because we talk sense and we can make a decision and know what we need. Our opinions should be valued the same as any adult and so equally deserve to be listened to.
