Name: Helen Rendle
Position: MYP
Constituency: Lancashire
Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
I am most passionate about transport as I feel young people don’t get a fair deal when it comes to transport.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
In my area the image of young people is very important as we get a bad press but mainly it is the issues around transport such as prices for 16-18 year olds, safety on buses at night and the regularity as we are in a rural area.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
I hope to achieve cheaper transport for 16-18 years olds throughout Fylde, also a better relationship between different social groups in Fylde.
What is your future career ambition?
I want to go on to university and become either a radio presenter or children’s TV presenter.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
I admire my best friend Sarah as all she does is charity work and tries to make a difference with the motto “if I don’t do it, who will?” and she does this with no asking from anyone so well done sweetie!
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
Listen to young people’s ideas because we are today’s tomorrow.
Additional comments:
Just smile and be happy. It uses less muscles and brain power than being moody/sad.
