Which political issues are you most passionate about?

Money. Money is something that affects every single person in this country! It affects young people, old people, middle-aged people, children. Money is something that this country always seems to be having issues with, such as Higher Education cuts! The other issue I'm most passionate about is Political Education. It's something I feel young people should be more aware of and in tune with!

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

Transport. This has been a continuing problem for young people in Reading, and something which I hope to work on in the coming year. Another issue is the age at which young people are deemed adults - for some things it’s 16, other things 18, or 21. It's ridiculous! There should be only be one, universal age wherein a young person becomes an adult.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

In my term of office, I really want to achieve greater awareness of how influential young people really are, both locally and nationally. I want to engage students (year 5 to 13) further in democracy and local politics; and maintain links with primary and secondary schools in my area. I really want to get involved with all the youth clubs in Reading and get young people's views on them, and improve them based upon their feedback. And finally, transport. I hope to achieve fairer prices and better publicity of services.

What is your future career ambition?

I'd love a career in aviation or in education.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

Tom Burnett. He's not famous, nor is he more important than any other person. He was one of those people who lost their lives on the tragic 9/11. He was one of the passengers on Flight 93 (the flight that fought back). I admire him because he encouraged others, his acts reflected on others, he had confidence to speak up and do something, he saved hundreds of people, he motivated others... He died a Hero.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

Government is put in place to serve, represent and act on behalf of the people. So actually serve the people and not yourselves!

Additional comments:

"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." (Barack Obama)
