Which political issues are you most passionate about?

I feel very passionately about the votes at 16 campaign because at 16 people’s lives are greatly affected by the government, so it is only fair that they get a say in who represents them. I also feel passionately about changing the negative image that the media give young people because the negative image we are given is not always true.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

I think the main problem for young people in Kent is the lack of low cost public transport, especially for sixth formers who do not qualify for concessionary travel passes.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

I hope to make life better and easier for young people in my constituency and around the UK. I believe in campaigning for the issues that are important to my constituents. They have told me that they would like to see cheaper public transport for young people under 19 and those in full time education, so that is what I will be campaigning for.

What is your future career ambition?

One day I would love to become a politician and represent the people in parliament, but that relies on me persuading the public to vote for me! If that does not happen I have many other things in mind, but I am only 12!

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

I do not really admire one particular public figure. We are unique and should just be ourselves instead of trying to be someone else.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

Please do not forget the young people and brush us aside without listening to our opinions. The young people today are the voters of tomorrow, so do not let us down.
