Which political issues are you most passionate about?

I feel very strongly about keeping public transport fair for young people – such as pressuring bus companies to raise the child age limit to 18.  This would keep it in line with new government policies to stay in education until the age of 18.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

Public transport – young people have often mentioned the rising and unfair cost to them.  I have pledged to voice their opinions on the service and to try and keep prices fairer for longer for young people.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

I’d really like to make a positive impact on the local area – bringing up issues which young people wouldn’t be able to voice so easily otherwise, such as working to improve local facilities and bring in new ones where possible.

What is your future career ambition?

I would like to work in the media, possibly as a journalist.  I have great interest in current national and foreign affairs and hope to make my career in this field.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

Morgan Tsvangirai for his relentless courage in the face of political and personal repression.  He has fought for his beliefs in a country which has faced so much.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

Don’t cut public spending for places such as youth centres – they do a great job with young people and their value to the community is great.

Additional comments:

I greatly look forward to working with the UKYP in the time to come – I thank all my supporters for their amazing support and greatly look forward to serving them!
