Name: Jodie Gregg
Position: MYP
Constituency: Somerset

Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
The political issues that I am very passionate about are bullying and teenagers’ bad image in the media. Bullying happens in schools everyday and nobody does anything about it and everybody slates us teenagers because of some of the bad teenagers. I think that people need to know that we teenagers are not all the same.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
I feel that the biggest issue for young people in my constituency is things to do and places to go. This is because teenagers have hardly anything to do so they result to drinking and drugs and even getting involved in crimes.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
During my term of office I would like to have changed a few minds about what they think of us teenagers and I would like to have helped people when they have been bullied. Basically make that difference to young people in Somerset.
What is your future career ambition?
My future career ambition is to be a youth worker. I would really like to work with children and give them the help that they need.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
Winston Churchill, because he was a good strong leader.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
I would say Listen to us young people!! We are the future and unquestionably what we say should count. Every human being deserves to have their say, no matter what their colour is or what shape they are or even what nationality they are.
Additional comments:
Come on everybody let’s do it and change lives of the youth today!!
