Which political issues are you most passionate about?

The issues which I am very passionate about are, unemployment, the economy, litter, future prospects and opportunities for young people, and engaging youngsters in decision making both on a local and national level, as I strongly believe that if youngsters are given more importance and  more involvement this will discourage crime and violence (children need to be seen and heard).

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

The biggest issue is boredom, there are just not enough outdoor facilities or things for youngsters to do. If there are facilities, parents are just not able to transport us to the venues which leads to unsociable behaviour and a lack of friends.  This is one of the main reasons for youngsters to stay indoors and play on their computer games or watch television.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

Better facilities for the youth, more involvement of youngsters in areas of education, council and communities. I would like to give youngsters a stronger voice. Currently when youngsters talk about Parliament or politics, they find this to be a very difficult subject area to understand. I would like all schools to make politics fun and enjoyable to learn.

What is your future career ambition?

I would like to take this experience and enhance my career in politics, which may lead to becoming an MP in the future, however at this stage I am unsure but I do enjoy sport and play a lot of cricket and football.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

The public figure I currently admire is Barack Obama. He is a very inspirational man who got to the top through hard work and showing that it does not matter what background or colour you come from, the opportunity is always there for you to take and make that change.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

Listen to the people, listen to us!!!  If you want to make Britain a better place, change cannot happen without listening to us!!!

Additional comments:

I would like to make a positive change in my constituency. I am looking forward to a great challenge and an inspirational opportunity to meet like-minded people.
