Schools! Help your pupils ‘make their mark’

Last Autumn term over 470,000 secondary school pupils took part in a national ballot, Make your Mark. This ballot decides what Members of the UK Youth Parliament should debate and vote on to be their campaign for the year ahead, during their sitting in the House of Commons in November 2014.

Please take one minute to register your school’s interest in taking part.

At the end of July we will email a pack which will contain:

  • What is Mark your Mark briefing including key dates and actions
  • The three ways to vote
  • Links to lesson plans etc
  • Advice on how to get a great turnout for the vote in between August and October

We will let your local Member of Youth Parliament (MYP) know you have signed up.

As an extra special incentive to get involved, all schools that register will be entered into a prize draw to WIN 5 TICKETS to the viewing gallery of the UKYP House of Commons sitting in November 2014 to see the debate in action, subsidised travel and a tour of Parliament.

The deadline for schools to sign up is 15 July 2014.
