The UK Youth Parliament feels passionately that the current voting age should be lowered to 16. For many reasons, including the inconsistency of whether a 16 year old is counted as an adult, this has been an issue of great importance to young people.
Therefore a survey has been created to find out exactly what young people across the UK think about politics; do they care? are they being engaged?
Aiming for a response of 30,000 young people by the end of 2007, the results will be relayed in a campaign report to be presented to the Ministry of Justice, showing the Government what young people really think about the voting age.
